Default "Black" dust

I have noticed lately that a few days after I wash my car and drive it (which is not often), I find that the surface has an almost transparent dusting on it. I can't really see it, but if I run my finger across it, it gets pretty dirty. It is along the whole side of the car (no front bumper or hood) so I was maybe thinking it was from the brake pads/wheel area? I really have no idea. Maybe it is just from the roads...but then again this doesn't happen on any of my other cars. If anyone has any ideas or have experienced these problems, please chime in. Thanks!

I first thought it was raod dirt, but I have never had this happen to me on any of my other cars. I will check to see if I need new pads or something.

It's either brake dust or tire dust. I think it's tire dust though, seems to be related to the sticky tires that wear quickly.

It's most noticable on light colored cars.

I will find out in a few weeks if it is the tires. My PZero's are almost bald (at least in the back ) and I will switching to S03's. Hope his is the problem because the grime is killing me right now...I can't wash it b/c it is about 20 degress right now
