Black inner cover: Install tips?
I just recieved my inner cover for the top- does any body have any tips before I start? I have heard not to install it w/ a tight fit at first. Please let me know
It isn't a difficult installation, just take your time and follow the diagram.
Here are a few tips - attach the long plastic clips to the roof frame first. Line them up and push them on in one smooth motion. They can be removed and repositioned, but that stretches out the plastic and sometimes the clips will not hold the liner up any more.
It's awkward working in the rear well area, but it can be done if you're flexible.
Before sticking the velcro patches to bodywork, clean the location and let it thoroughly dry.
That's all I can think of. I've had the liner in my car for over a year and is working out just fine.

Make sure that you put each strip on the right bar. You just might run out of headliner. Of course, I didn't do that.
It does help out with road noise and it also keeps the interior a little more insulated during these 95+ degree days.
Good luck!
