Like a lot of people, I have the problem of the backend of the boot cover working itself loose and flopping around during high speed driving. From another thread, I have learned the trick of pushing the boot down and pulling/pushing the boot towards the back of the car. That has helped but it still manages to come loose occasionally. It appears that the two tabs on the backend of the boot is just too short to catch or clip underneath the trunk rubber. Has anyone tried, somehow, extending the two tabs so it has a larger area to slide underneath the trunk rubber. That may stop the boot from coming loose at the rear. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I posted this previously but apparently it wasn't seen. About 2 weeks ago I extended my tabs and it pretty well fixed the problem. I used sheet aluminum from an old Radio Shack chassis, about .050 thick--needs to be thin but stiff. Cut 2 pieces approx width of the tabs and long enough-front to back measurement-to approx double the amount that tucks under back of car. Used 2 1/8 pop rivets to attach to existing tabs.

Mister, are you putting a "Miata tube" between the plastic layers of the window?
I noticed that if the tube is too large the problem is more pronounced.
I moved to a smaller diamter window protector tube and that helped.

I too have this problem. What I noticed is that the top doesn't stay down all of the way when going over rough roads. If the boot pops up, I can pull over and reach under the cover to press the top down, and the cover will stay put for a while again. In my case, the roof latch on the drivers side seems to push up on the cover. I was thinking of trying to come up with something that will keep the latch folded down to see if that helps.
