Default Bracing Question: X-Brace, Tower Strut Bar or Both

When stiffening the S2000, is it most effective to:

Install an X-brace (i.e., spoon or DiGrappa), install a tower strut bar (i.e., comtech or spoon), or go with a combination of the two. . .

Any thoughts. . .

The X brace is the only one you will need. I notice very little if any improvement with the tower bar.. but the X brace I was able to feel a significant increase in rigidity.

I believe the reason for the tower bar not being effective has something to do with the front end set up on our cars making it useless. But hey it looks cool

i'd have to agree w/ charlie. the x-brace makes more of a difference. you can also get the mingster brace also.

I know many members that have both the TSB and x-brace. They both serve different purposes to firm up the car in different directions. Others on the board (UL, cthree) that know more about the mechanicals than I do can tell you exactly what each component is used for.

I have both installed on my car and it feels amazing, I love it! I had the strut tower brace on alone and I noticed immediatly that it got more stiff and responsive. After I installed the X Brace, the only part of the car that really felt loose was the tires slipping on the ground.

A friend and I went around a parking lot are very high speeds taking turns quickly. He said he thought the tires were going to roll off the wheel.. heheh

The Mugen larger sway bar will make more of difference than both of those items combined, imho.

A Tower strut bar doens't do much to stable the car .. but it has the looks .. However u need a X-brace and a larger front sway bar to stiffen the chassis.. do a search on Mugen sway bar and the X-braces ( Spoon, mingster,Digrappa)...
