The nice part about the G2 kit is you do not HAVE to take off your calipers to do a good job. Since it is a brush on kit, if you mask off all of the areas you do not want to paint you can still make them look really nice w/o having to spend the time on taking off your calipers. If you do a search on here someone did a really nice write up on tips for painting your calipers.

I also got very good results with the G2 - I masked off only the bleed screws, and did not worry a lot about the back of the calipers (the invisible side). The paint is incredibly strong and durable.

I got a spot of paint the size of a dime on the backside of one of the rear rotors, and when I backed the car out of my garage 2 days later, it made a crack and a sensation through the pedal that startled me. WTF?!! The first mile I could feel each time the spot hit the brake pad, and it took several hard ABS invoking stops to break off the paint - that is how hard it is.

P.S. It did not foul the rotor or the pad - I later pulled the caliper and inspected the pad, and found nothing to indicate they were polluted by the incident.

After painting the calipers on all my old cars..Teg, Accord, Civic Si I decided to do it right on the S2000 and am very glad I did. The brakes clean up SO well now and the powdercoat covers the whole caliper, as opposed to only where I can get to with a brush or mask for spray.

(Check out the "blingin" pad plates)

Where do you get the S2000 decals? Do they come with the kits?

mine are cad plated drilled and slotted (not good for track use-but they look great!) and installed "backwards" (to reduce dust- i get none) from spugen-
the first time i saw one of these cars i was in love with it, but couldnt understand why such a great looking car would have such ugly rotors...
so i solved that one!
