BRAKE QUESTION

Default BRAKE QUESTION

Whats the best whay to depress the cylinder on the rear brakes. I took a c-clamp to the front ones it it was easy. The rear calipers have no meat on them to clamp to. Any suggestions. Thanks

Do NOT clamp!! The rear pistons must be screwed in.

I've tried screwing them, they turn no problem but they don't seem to be moving in at all. Am I missing something. Does it matter which way you turn them, do you have to put pressure on them at the same time as turning.

Turn them clockwise, they will go in.

Do you just turn it or do you have to apply pressure also. You must have to turn it a lot then, because I turned them quite a bit and it didn't seem like they moved.

You may need to turn them a lot in order for them to retract noticably. However, if you have "unscrewed" the piston too far, it will come apart.
