I hate how every time it rains or I wash my car, by rotors look rusty. After I take it out for a drive, it goes away, but it still ticks me off. I have s2r's so you can see everything. Is there something I can do, or should I just upgrade them?
As far as I know, all rotors do that. It wears right off after like ten seconds of driving. Just don't pull your parking brake up too hard when it's going to rain. I did that once and didn't drive for two days and I couldn't get my car to move until like 3 tries of letting the clutch out because it got stuck.
Nothing you can do about it on stock rotors. Aftermarket ones (Power Slot, Stoptech, et. al) have a cadmium plating on them that prohibits rust from forming anywhere on the rotor. Do a search and you'll see a lot of people have them. They look fantastic behind the wheels.
Nothing can be done about the braking surfaces. As for the venting fins and the hubs, you can paint them with high temp paint to keep those parts from rusting.
