Default Break In Period???

HI ALL,
JUST WONDERING WHAT IS THE BEST BREAKING MILES?? I HEARD 3000 IS THE MOST OFTEN ONE BUT IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL SAYS 600 OR 650 IS ENOUGH... CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT HERE? AND ALSO I HEARD AROUND 1000 YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE OIL AND THEN WHEN U HIT 3500 U CHANGE AGAIN AND THEN JUST KEEP DOING IT EVERY 3500 IS IT CORRECT? ANY RESPONSE WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED. THANKS.

dont go over 6k rpm's until you reach 600 miles on the Odo. after 600 miles then you can VTEC and go buck wild at 9k!

600 miles at least before VTEC (after that always wait for three bars on the temp gauge before VTEC). As far as the oil change interval, around 3K miles is good, even though the manual says 7500.

Your first oil fill is a special breakin oil. Its best to leave it in until your oil consumption stabilizes. Make sure you check your oil every fuel fillup and keep your oil full. My car stabilized at about 4500 miles but it can vary. As far as the change interval there after, 3700 works good and your service engine light will come on every 7500 miles so it works out.
