Default burning clutch smell

Newbie here...I got pissed the other night and foolishly lit up the rear tires for all of 2 seconds. Parked the car a minute later and the next day, everytime I drove the car, I smelled burning clutch....even when I first start the car and don't even have it in gear. It's now another day later and I still smell the burning clutch. I don't feel any slippage, but the smell is pretty powerful which I smell everytime I come to a stop (w/ the top down). Is this normal and should I wait a couple days to see if the smell dissipates? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ps. the car has 28,600 miles.

You probably spun the clutch and not your tires. The smell will be gone in a week or so. Take it easy on the car and control your anger.

could be a factor of the two, spinnin clutch and tires. granted if the clutch was totally slippin that the tires wouldnt...but i would bet the clutch got a little slippage. The smell will go away but take it easy on the car. if it persists u may have worn off enough clutch material to cause more slipping and/or the pressure plate might have some issues. Go up a hill in gear and hit the gas....if she holds and bogs a bit then ur good, if the rpms go up but u dont increase speed then it is slipping.
