Oh, and I could easily redline that 05. It's not that easy with my 02. I don't know why.

A few things contribute to that:
-more torque
-gearing is slightly shorter
-and of course, the redline comes 1000rpm sooner

Uppity,

You'll regret giving up the 9k rpm and knowing you have a FIRST GENERATION S2k!

The newbie are wanna be's.

You are so right.

I don't know why Honda decided to disrupt the interior like they did. What was wrong with it to begin with? Were people complaining? And why change the engine??

Alas, these are questions best contemplated over vintage wine.

I'M KEEPING IT. I really do love it. Never thought of getting a new one. Hubby suggested it. Thought I would check into it. Did. My boy (my car is a boy) and I will definately stay together.
It sounds like you have your mind made up, and I agree.. Keep it!!

I personally thought the interior on the 04 + was better. If Honda didn't change it, I bet they'd be a plethora of people complaining about it. Not that I think there is anything wrong with the 02-03 interior, but people like something different when they're buying new things.

As for the engine, it was enlarged to combat the torque complaint people had. We don't get it down here - but if we did I'd probably still take the 2.0L, gimme 9000rpms anyday

The 04 + Wheels are pwetty though...might be my first "mod" if I can source a set

You mean to say you don't have the option for the larger engine or the complaints??? We also have a Z4 and I would say that the 2005 drives very much like the Z4. Will get up and go, but you can really redline it in a heartbeat. I like the 9K rpm, too. Definately a must on the 17" wheels. That will be my next project. Just got new tires, so I will have to wait until those need replacing before consideration of new wheels.

Keep it, uppity. If you feel you need a refresher, go for some mods.
