Thanks for starting this thread Uppitychick.

I'm in the same boat as yourself. I have a 2002 and my lease it coming up. I have 40k on the car now and I'm still indecisive if I should keep it or return it and get a 2005. I drove the 05 and couldn't tell the difference between the 2 cars.

Argh..decisions, decisions

Hmm... Lease completion is kind of a different story, Ken. What's the residual on the lease?

See, I think you might want to re-think that, Ken. Rather than pay the residual, you might want to consider something else.

I agree. I would definitely consider something else. I would walk away
from the lease when it ends and look at other options. It is a buyer's market at this time. Just my opinion.

By the way, Ken, I'm not trying to talk you out of buying another S2000! Please, stay in the fold if you love the car as much as I think you do...

A related thought... If you are the type of guy who is loyal to a great car, you should probably avoid a lease in the future. The kind of temperament that makes sense for a lease is someone who really wants to trade every couple of years (not that there's anything wrong with that). I only say this to save you some heartache in the future. I know, in my case, Neb is going to remain my car until something bad happens or until the wheels start falling off. You'll always do better with a loan or straight-out buy if you're a long-term keeper. Frankly, this advice is pretty much good for life in general. (holy crap, no I really am starting to sound Vintage!!!)

What picture??

S2KenC, I would get rid of the 2002 that you have. You can buy a 2002 with less miles for same or less money. I am with Chazmo, I made the mistake of leasing a car many years ago, and swore I would never do it again. Definately buy one. Mine is paid for so it would be foolish for me to spend $29K for a new one when I love the one I have. But you might want to think about it. I hate decisions

Keep the 02. Team AZ can get you one hell of a deal on a Honda Care Extended Warrantee if you want.

Pick up a nice set of Volks from Jeff at Evolution.
