have you looked at some of the classifieds on here, seems there maybe some better options out there but the lower the miles the better.

I would go for Option #4 but offer $20,000...MY02 it so much nicer than MY00-MY01.

sol has been in an accident(my brother), leaks, and over 150,000 miles

What is so much better about the 02 that makes it better than one with 1/4 the miles?

Most people prefer the glass rear window. 00 and 01 have plastic rear window.

Just to put my two cents in the picture....
here is Chicago, the prices are more reasonable.......
I picked up an 03 Spa yellow with 15K miles this November( really cold and snowing)....
for $22K + tax, title and license.... car was checked out by an independent body shop and it checked out clean.

I know Hondas are really reliable, but paying more for a newer car will somewhat offset additional warrenty you would need to buy. My 03 has 2 years left on it since it was first titled in Nov 03.

you would be paying too much for option #4, but anything below '02 has the plastic rear window....if that doesn't bother you. Also the stereo has been noticably improved in newer models.....still not the best, but better than the '01 I drove when looking for this car.

You can easily pick up an 03 in Chicago( northern suburbs) for around 22K....

might be a little hard for me to find a car in Chicago, I live in florida and would have to have someone up there looking at cars for me before I came up.

Your Del Sol is not going to get you 1000 from a dealer on trade. Sell it to some kid privately for that. You can easily knock 2000 off sticker price from any dealer.
