I’m glad you bought it and are giving it a 2nd chance. Like others have said you got a deal even tho it’s not the “perfect” car. Keep us posted and update us with pictures in the future. Congratulations

This looks like 95% of the Spec Miatas that I've driven, lol.

My own thoughts are that, if the chassis is straight, it'd make a great track car or race car. I'd have a local body shop put it on their rack to check for straightness and also proper crash damage repair.

Decided to strip the front end down my myself. Found out it has a ap1 front crash beam that was upside down. Tow hook didn’t line up. I primed and painted everything in front. Tons of yellow overspray. Also, installed front oem radiator radiator shield. Ended up ditching the carbon radiator air shield. Didn’t fit right and looked cheap.

Did best attempt to keep paint from chipping and covering up

Installed new aftermarket headlights

Still on the hunt for good priced oem headlights and oem ballast. Car has cheap eBay ballasts

Comparison from before and after. Did some minor touch ups. Still trying to get bumper fitment 100%. May need new bumper fender brackets

I think you're gonna end up with a very nice example. Getting jealous of your skills!
