Buzzing / Clutch Upgrade & Success
I thought this was worthy of passing along in the S2000 forum for others who may have this problem.
According to a recent post by Digger on the Upper Mid-West Forum the Penske Honda dealership in Indianoplis just replaced his clutch disk, mentioning it was the second Honda has redesigned for the buzzing problem, and adding the dealership said Honda was pretty happy with the new clutch disk, saying it has eliminated the problem in the vehicles they have used them in.

seems like people have success in the new clutch but for only a short while, then the noise will come back.
well, only time will tell i guess.

"The clutch disc listed in this service bulletin is an improved version of the countermeasured disc released a year ago. Extensive testing has shown it to be quieter than any previous S2000 clutch discs. If your customer had the previous clutch disc installed but still complains of deceleration noise, install the clutch disc listed in this service bulletin"
Hopefully this new one will last...

My original clutch replacement (part #-025) lasted about 7000 miles before the whine started to come back. It has not gotten as bad as the original clutch did at 10k ...yet (I have put 12k miles on this clucth).
I am looking forward to replacing mine again with the "-055" clutch and hopefully not have to replace it again for a long time...or at least not because of the rattle.

I've been experiencing this problem for many months now, but have been a little scared to take it in for the TSB service. Has anyone done it yet in the DC/MD/VA area with good success? Thanks for all the feedback guys.
