c5 corvette and s2000
Been there myself- drive 'em both & see which one is more of a kick & best suits your current preferences. Vette for raw acceleration for sure, but S2k for nimble handling in a smaller, classy package. It was a long, tough decision for me, but it came down to the S being simply more "fun" for me to drive (even coming from a WS6 Trans Am vert).
the S2000 can be a daily-driver, though i hesitate to recommend it as such
the c5 vette is easy to live with, even in traffic, as it has bags of torque, allowing you to leave it in a single gear through most, if not all of rush-hour traffic. <<this is luxury simply nonexistant with the S2000
the s2k has crap for torque (overall no, but compared to its hp figures, yes), so you always have to wind it up to even keep up with regular-paced acceleration
also, the c5 vette is somewhat easy to drive fast... no, its pretty easy; its easy to turn the car with the throttle as well - which helps on tight turns (on racetracks, mind you)
but as this is an s2000 board, im going to recommend the s2000, albeit the vette is faster, has more prestige (though more common), and easier to drive (your mom wouldn't have too much trouble driving it)

as for the G35 coupe...
an s2k and g35 coupe make two totally different statements:
S2000 has uncompromising sport driving designed for optimum functionality and performance (this is for the boy-racer or those experiencing mid-life crises; those who need something fun and don't care too much for minimal creature comforts)
G35 has pretty girl looks with some decent
power to keep up on the freeway... (this is for the execs that want a more prestige than an acura TL-S, but can't afford an M5, and still want a little sport thrown in the equation)
for me, i chose s2000 because i love hondas for there engineering prowess but couldn't afford the mighty nsx, and an integra gs-r sim ply didn't cut it

Sorry, I disagree. I can easily keep up and pass most cars revving up to just 4000, maybe 4500 RPMs.

Sorry, I have to totally agree with Eze8199 too.
In fact, yesterday I did another run up Angeles Crest in CA and I never went higher than 6K rpm and I was flying through and rarely had to drop a gear. Pretty much stayed in 3rd for tighter turns and 4th for speed. Even in city driving afterwards, I would easily pull away from people on uphills without going past 5K. For a Honda, it has some decent around town torque. It's not a C5 granted, but it wasn't meant to be.

I have to agree with the "not a C5 but has enough torque" line... I drove home with a broken left leg in rush hour traffic! Left it in 3rd most of the time... good for 15mph upto 90! No shakes, never was left behind, I will never complain about it!
