I've read a lot of threads here about cold air intake systems. I'm curious about the stock air intake systems of other years. I looked at the one on my 2006, and it has a huge air filter box in front of the engine, behind the radiator bulkhead, and an intake snorkel that goes over that bulkhead to take air from the upper underhood area in front of the radiator. This area is above the slanted air guide panels that channel air to the radiator fans, but these guides have slots to allow presumably enough air to go up toward the air intake snorkel. This seems like more or less CAI to me. Questions:

- Is this 2006 air intake system different from other years?

- Would the 2006 benefit from an aftermkt CAI system - actual hp increase?
