not much to be honest. CAI helps prevent heat bog. But CAI and exhaust can give a little boost, at most 5hp. The best bet is 4.4 gears or VAFC, IMO

I have the PRM intake and Supertrapp exhaust system and I am definitely making more than 5 horsepower. Got to disagree with you on that one blade. The PRM netted me more than 5 hp in of itself and the Supertrapp system has been incredible since install. Punched the car's performance beyond the Tanabe and that catback alone was making just over four horsepower. The Supertrapp is even more powerful. Tazzo runs consistently are backing this up. The AEM and INJEN intakes have both shown to peak at nearly 8-9hp for the S2000 and various catbacks 3-4hp. While not in all cases are improvements cumulative, saying "at most" 5 hp is a very
specific statement to make and accurate only if you've dyno'd every owner's S2000. I'd have been in-line with you if you had said, 8-9hp. Five is a bit too low.

I have the AEM CAI and RM Racing exhaust and I am not sure if I got any more HP out of the deal, but it sure sounds awesome!!!!

I won't get into a discussion about this again but people have to realize that it's not always about peak hp. The entire powerband has to be considered. For example with some mods You might gain 3hp peak but 20hp in the midrange.

Hi, I will be buying a S2000 very soon, can someone explain what the ECU difference is between 00, 01 compared to the 02? Or perhaps, what is the ECU improvement in the 02's?

I've done some research, and this is the first time I have heard of this...

Thanks a lot!!

there is NOTHING confirmed ie. the two dyno'd BUT many people, myself included, have driven stock 02 and felt a significant difference ie. better throttle response, etc. There were also improvements to the clutch in 02. Like I said, there's no hard data on the subject, but enough stories and personal experience to convince me.
