Default California emissions

I'm in the process of selling my S2000, and the question has been posed to me about whether or not it will pass California emissions. I've never lived there, and I've only lived in states that check your OBDII. I have:

Supercharger/aftercooler
VAFC
Test pipe

If I remove the test pipe and install a factory catalyctic converter, will it pass? What else do I need to be aware of? Thanks guys for your help! I tried a search, but it came back with an error message...

I thought in all states, removal of emissions devices would immediately fail emissions test.

Your car will definitely not pass CA emissions unless you put your stock cat back on and your supercharger is carb legal. Even if it is carb legal, a ref may not pass it depending on how anal he is.

Put the cat back on. Hide the VAFC. Pass!

Cool. I appreciate the answers! I suppose the Comptech supercharger with a 7 pound pulley is carb legal?

FWIW, Texas (and Georgia for that matter) only plug into your OBDII port and take a reading. As long as you don't have a check engine light, you pass.

xzx is right. Modifications of any component of the emissions is an automatic and a federal offense. Most states don't care. Cali will kick your butt without CARB paperwork and sometimes with. Get all of the paperwork from Comptech and check the CARB website. But definitely put a cat on there...that looks stock. The regs for cat replacement are REALLY strict and they can flunk you for putting a legal cat on too early!!!

If you know someone with a smog place that will hook you up with a passing certificate your going to need it with the stuff you have. Cali is definatley not a forced induction state. Just fake a residence in Nevada and get plates from there and smog it there.
