Camaraderie amongst drivers
In SoCal, we throw a "V" (like a peace sign) for V-Tec. I was with my wife the other day in my Ody (I have kids in their early 20's so you can figure out my age) and was about ready to throw a V and she stopped me because she said it was embarrassing. She just doesn't get the greatness of the car.
I too am amazed at the attention this car gets.. But when I stand back and fondle it with my eyes, I can easily see why it gets attention. They are really beautiful, and visceral and thankfully not produced any more.. I'd hate to see all the road control crap spoiling this automobile, while adding weight. I don't want the government or Honda or anyone else making my car any safer if it takes anything away from my driving experience. I want the threat of "the price of mistakes" to be present. That's where a lot of the thrill of living life is.
