Default Camber Question

Hey guys,

I lowered by car like 4 months ago on stock struts with Tein springs. I have the Tein springs which lower the car 1.25 inches all around. I purchased new tires for the rear since I noticed it was wearing out on the inside. Once i purchased the new tires, I went to firestone to get the car alligned. Once finished, they told me the camber was maxed out and still not to stock specs. I belive it was aorund 2.4 on one side and 2.2 on the other side. I thought if you lowered the car with a small drop that the camber could be adjusted. Is this right? Do I need a camber kit?

Thanks in advanced.

With that drop u should be able to get the camber to -1.5 atleast. U need an s2000 alignment guy for sure.

This guy was a nice guy and even showed me where it was maxed out. He let me see where on the rear the bolt was pushed all the way to the right where you would adjust it. He said its not too bad on how off it is and that normally mercedes are like this since it grips better.

All the adjustments work together, the camber might be maxed but if you play with the others it'll change the camber.

I have -2 on that suspension, you need a different shop if he gave up that easy.

Where do you live? Definitely go to a performance shop to get it done. I go to Evasive Motorsports in SoCal, you should go somewhere similar with people who KNOW S2000 suspension/alignment.

If you fix the toe, the tires aren't going to be wearing out dramatically on the inside anyway. I run like 3 degrees of camber on both my cars. No inside wear issues. I just run toe within spec.

The maximum stock s2000 negative camber is -3.5, or in alignment terms, -3:30. My car is set to maximum.
