Can you just buy the glass piece for the convertible top and replace the plastic one. My car is a 2000 S2000 and there's someone selling just the glass piece for a 2000-01. Is this a simple replacement.

No, this is not a straightforward replacement. The convertible top with the plastic window folds differently.

There are many aftermarket tops that offer a glass window along with the hardware required for the modification.

As an owner of a 2001 S 2000, I sympathize with you -- I hate the plastic rear window. It is bigger, but much more of a pain to maintain.

There are many posts on replacement tops. Here's a vendor that I don't have personal experience with, but many on S2KI.COM recommend.

Ya I bought from them before, there excellent. As for the top, can you buy a replacement plastic piece then. my plastic piece has that hazy scratched look, but only directly in the middle of the window.

You will need to replace the entire top, which is a pretty decent amount of work.

Wow, I think that is the only thing that Honda really screwed up on. To change that little window that will certainly need to be replaced and you can't do it without changing the whole top. I'm sure that there has to be a shop that can change that little window. There's not much to it.

You CAN put a +02 cover on a 99-01 frame it needs a couple of extra elastic ties to position the glass screen for folding.

You CAN'T put the glass screen panel in to a 99-01 cover.
