worst case scenario, you could prolly get it as a personal loan. Like not tell them its for a car. Then use it to buy the car anyway?

Stopped by two credit unions this morning- one said they wouldn't loan more than $12k for a first time buyer, the other said that they had to see the car in person ("too old" even though its an 05) before they would agree to financing. Both were very hesitant when I told them the car was out of state.

The car I'm currently interested in is a Honda Certified MY05 Silverstone at a dealer in Charlotte NC.

I've literally been to 11 different places trying to get a loan, and looked at 7 different S2ks at this point. This is INSANELY frustrating.

yeah but it's a rare model. you really get what you pay for. Three years ago when I made my purchase, I could've purchased a random color 2002 with low mileage for $14k. I chose to go a different route, and paid for a more unique 2002 gpw w/red interior with low miles and brand new oem top for $18k.
paint job - 2000$
interior swap from black to red - 500$?
new (robbins top) - 600$?

still come out on top. car looks brand new

i understand paying extra for a new car. but a used one, does it really matter?
