I ask because you're not even supposed to use AC with the windows down on other cars. Is there ANY problem with using air conditioning while the top is down?

 

the reason you wouldnt want to use ac with the windows down is because all the cold air you pump out gets sucked back out of the car, semi-defeating the purpose. it's not "bad" for the car just not as efficient. all i know is that if i am hot, im gonna turn the damned ac on wether the top is up,down, halfway dow, windows open, whatever.

If I get too hot with the top down I always turn on the ac...It wont hurt a thing.

 

I had a dealer tech tell me it was bad for the car (he had a customer's a/c fail doing it) Hope this helps
