Its very easy to do when you have the right tool. Pull the glass back and you can have the door open in seconds.

Wedge this inflatable thing in between the glass and the weather strip...inflate it so that there's space to stick a hanger in and unlock the door from the inside...voila!

I've done it before. My second week owning my car, I was on the way out to a friends house. I wasn't used to the auto lock feature. I walked up to the car and unlocked the doors, then the trunk with my keyless remote.

I had a habit of putting the key in the trunk while fishing things in and out. Well I closed the truck, and said, oh, I'll just open the door and use the remote release. Well... the doors were locked already.

Since my apt keys were on the same chain, I had to go to the main office and get spares. I used the spares to get in my house and get a hanger.

This sucks because you have to literally PULL the window back enough to slide the hanger in. To make matters worse, Honda is smart enough to place the latch UNDER the dash to an extent so it was an awkward angle.

I fished around with it for about 30 minutes until I closed my eyes and it caught.

It can be done but you risk scratching up your door panel from all the fishing around and you also risk shattering your window from having to pull it back to slide the hanger in. Horrible process.

Rest assure I don't leave my keys in the truck anymore.

Maybe they won't cut the top? Unlikely though, because it takes too long to open the car non-destructively.
