I was doing engine break in 3rd gear but when I let go of accelerator, I hear this loud noise(rattles??) coming from the engine. I dont know if this is normal or not. If this topic has been discussed already soorryy but does anyone have any advice???

does this have anything to do with the metallic winding down sound in the gearbox from approx 4000rpm to 3000rpm? if so, might want to check some threads regarding that. but to me, sounds normal.

Sounds like detonation to me. Is it the same sound you get when you try to accelerate out of a slow corner in 3rd gear (not recommended BTW).

Try to avoid this. It's not good for the engine.

Umm dunno bout the sound

But at no time should you be engine braking, thats what brakes are for!

It's covered under TSB 54. It's a free warranty work anyone who wants it done. I've been told that the new clutch disc actually grabs better, although it makes the rattle louder initially. Not much to be concerned about and it's definitely not detonation.
