I had an alignment done today and the tech at the shop managed to scratch up the 'H' emblem in the steering wheel and put two gouges in the plastic immediately below it. From the helm manual, it looks like I'd have to completely diassemble the wheel to have a shot at replacing it. Anyone done this before?
While I'm ranting, someone at the shop took my car up to redline in the rain today. I have modifry's 'amazingly cool shift beeper' and it records the high rpm. Needless to say, the shop delt with a very unhappy customer when I picked up my car.
have them order you a new steering wheel cover, or new steeringwheel, whatever it takes for it to look "new" again. I would be so pissed if this happened to my car.
And be sure to talk to the service manager about your car being abused!
If you like the Honda thing, have shop take care of it. Insist on replacement.
Then run as far from them as you can and find another shop for service.
If it is just the emblem, Rick's used to make a cool S emblem that looked better than stock. I haven't seen it on his site lately, however I think I read where he had to redo his site and may have lost it. He's good about answering e-mail so drop a note if your interested.
Hay Rick, If you see this I am still looking for silver on yellow badges.
