Some state DMVs have regulations regarding footwear when driving, so check with your DMV before you drive around with a bare foot. If I remember correctly, Hawaii forbids driving with bare feet or flip-flops.

I CAN NOT drive with flip flops or any kind of open type "shoe"... I tried that like 2 or 3 weeks ago and not only did I ride the SHIT out of my clutch a few times, but a few times I almost stalled the car out pretty bad... I was starting off, and moved my foot back a little. The bottom of the flip flop got stuck so i was kind of riding clutch for a sec or two... I tried pulling back slowly and it just flew off and the car jumped forward HARD, but I quickly slammed clutch down again...

I have to have either boots or bare foot. I don't wear sneakers so I dunno how I'd do with those... I don't think I'd have any probs though...

i'm always in flip flops and never have an issue heel toe'ing with them, maybe because i only wear an 8.5 shoe. my sparco karting shoes work the best but sorry, i'm not changing foot wear every damn time i get behind the wheel! how the heck do you manage to get a flip flop/sandal stuck when clutching? must have some shaquille o'neil sized feet or something!

I can't drive in 'flip-flops' ('thongs' as we call them here). Too dangerous (for me).

I drove my S with flip flops all last summer, it's not hard to do but it requires more concentration than when wearing sneakers or bare feet.

Driving is a sport to me.
Proper shoes only.
Even if I have to change them when I get to work.

If I'm going to be loafing, I'll take one of the alternate vehicles....
Wow, you sound awesome....
