The S2000 is to the miata what the corvette is to the s2000.

My thoughts exactly. I still love Miatas. The S2k is just more "me."

The Miata, in one form or another, is a great car for almost anyone. There's literally nothing it doesn't do well (except carry cargo). But for some people, myself included, the S2000's less forgiving handling and peaky motor are the key to its appeal- it's a challenge that will take years to fully master. No other sports car under $20k provides that.

Yup. You got it. It Says No Noobs Please. This Not anyway Bashing a Miata. If anything The people who said these things are bashing on our cars. I just know the s2000 is the better choice in performace and style. I agree you can make the miata fast. And it's rear wheel drive. But i'd rather have a S2000 or a K series motor swap if i'm going to build a cheap car..
How am I "Noob" and a "troll" because I call it like I see it ? A majority of the posts on the first page of this thread are just stating how much better the s2k is than the miata and seem like ego stroking to me. Do we really need to resort to name calling..?

With that said, obviously I thought the s2k was the "better" car for me (as I own one). I wanted something with more power while staying reliable, slightly bigger, and I overall agree that the styling is better. I also dd mine, while that would be slightly more difficult with the miata. With that said, if I had only 5-10k for a modded track toy as a 2nd car I would be all over the miata. Different strokes for different folks...

Beacuse you said this is a pointless Thread? When there are in fact many Miata owners on this fourm. What was your point? Trying to ruin a thread?

Funny DarkWing, you seemed to enjoy making fun of Miatas on the first page.

Here we go. Get lost
Seems any opinion differing from yours is invalid. Why did you bother asking? Are you really that insecure?

He literally told the person who can directly compare these two cars--because they're both sitting in my driveway--to get lost. I still don't understand why he started this thread.

I don't know, but apparently I ruined it and the great knowledge that was to be gained... Whatever, I'm out.

This thread is like watching a train wreck.

You want to look away, but you just can't.

And yeah, I've owned both too.

I've owned many different types of cars in my life from high horse american muscle to gutless import garbage. I think the S is probably the most well rounded car in terms of off the show room floor performance. Sure, you can mod other cars like the Miata for less money and eat an S for breakfast... doesn't make it a better vehicle. Hell, I have a boosted 1915cc VW bug that can dam near get the front wheels off the ground. I still like my S better! I like my S because it isn't a dime a dozen cookie cutter car like the Miata. I don't think the two cars are comparable at all. My Miata never made me white knuckle drive and put some serious driving skills to work to keep it on the road! I like that my S is a fickle b*tch!

Miata owners deal with a lot of crap, doesn't take much to set us off.

If only we had more Canadians in this thread, they could've prevented this train wreck.
