** disclaimer *** you can only do this on an 01

take some rubbing alcohol and keep wiping the area - it will look great after you remove the coating - more of a gun metal color

as for the carpet - seach for rick's leather cover - looks great

World of difference with the Rick's leather. Your hand rests on it and you will notice it all the time... Try sniping one on the FS forum and save some dough. I bought an old style one and it will look and fit just as well as the new style but cheaper!

sorry to hi jack...

But, I myself have the worn out effects on the shifter console... Does anyone know where I could find one for sale?? Is it hard to remove/install that piece? I tried yanking at it today... it seemed pretty tough to pull off without breaking something on it. Thanks everyone!

They make a world of difference. I don't know why the car didn't come with them from the factory. This is the AusS2000 designed version...
