Thumbs down Can your S2k handle $3.00+ per gallon 4 gas?

Sorry ya'll, but officials predict gas prices may be on the rise to $3.00/gallon

I know the S gets decent gas mileage, but if the prices rise this much, maybe it's time to reconsider V-TECING...

I did a quick estimate.

Current gas price:
-Premium Unleaded: $2.50
-Total to fill up: 13.2 gallons * $2.50 = $33 FULL TANK
-Let's say you fill up once a week for a month: $33 * 4 = $132

Future Gas Price:
-Premium Unleaded: $3.00~$3.30???
-Total to fill up: 13.2 gallons * $3.00 = $39.60
13.2 gallons * $3.30 = $43.56
-Let's say you fill up once a week for a month: $39.60 * 4 = $158.40
or $43.56 * 4 = $174.24

Total Difference
$26.40 ($3.00/gal) more you have to pay
-or-
$42.24 ($3.30/gal) per month. So pretty much, it's like not going out on a date once with your girl.

These are just estimates people. Don't take it too seriously.

This blows, time to start riding my bike or carpooling.

$3.00 / gallon

Yeah, well, while feeling bad about filling up with $2.40 premium today I noticed I'll soon need to spend $300 to replace the rear tires on my $30,000 sports car. I like cheap gas too, but even $3 won't make that much difference unless it stays $3+ for a year or more.

Yeah, gas prices suck. But think about it this way. What are you going to do, not fill up your car?

In Korea, it's $6.00/gal for gas.

However, many koreans use fuel called LPG, where it's not liquid gas but more like propane in it's gaseous form.

And it's hella cheaper too, but no power. Your engine bogs and there is no UMPH.
