So,

since my car was broken into last winter, it's ben sitting in my parent's driveway during the week, but this cannot go on! I decided to get an alarm and go back to driving the S2K every day. I will be getting one this weekend. High quality proximity sensors is a must. Ability to consolidate remotes is also a must. I am not intrested in any fancy features such as remote start or rolling the windows down. Can anybody recommend an alarm for me to install. (I was quoted $300 for a Viper 600 installed by Circut City).

 

Quality of installer is a MUST too. There are some good alarms out there, but a good installer is key.

 

What about Compustar? I heard they make a great alarm...
