Man that sucks,
I can't even imagine having a car labeled as being totaled by an insurance company because the seats where stolen. At the same time I can't imagine why these seats cost $8K. I mean they are nice but not that nice.
Hopefully everything will work out in your favor

That's not how State Farm did it when my car was stolen. They paid to fix EVERYTHING - $500 deductible. Since I had bought a bunch of audio equipment @ cost, I made money off the theft...
Just an FYI....this is the BEST thing that can happen to an s2000. The car wasnt damaged, and they stole some of the most expensive things in the car. You can get an aftermarket wheel, and some recaro seats, and still have a bunch left over.

I think it's worth looking into for sure. As for reading too much into it - nah! It might be just a coinsidence but I doubt it.

I haven't heard of it happening too often with car dealerships, but it's happened a lot in the area with car stereo shops. Interesting.. I wonder if more people are affected. Maybe talk to the officer assigned to your case and give him that info and see if he can check around some more, maybe it's more than just your car and the other one.

why bother? By the time they find the locks, they're inside and up to no good. You'll probably end up with slashed seats and a trashed interior.
I got the rental today.....an '05 Pontiac Grand Prix.
lol...it's a pretty nice car actually. It just feels huge and the handling isn't that great.
The body shop told me that my S should be ready by next week.
