The seat was never like this untill the rattle started.
I've also noticed that my passenger seat is very difficult to slide back and forth compared to the driver's seat.

My only rattle from the passenger seat is from the seatbelt buckle on the door panel.

My passenger seat seems to move fine, but I do have a rattle coming somewhere from the passenger side. I can't tell if it's something in the door panel or something in the roof assembly.

I think almost anything you try to get under that seat in such tight quarters will be messy. I would use "white lithium grease" for this application buy it comes in a spray so it might be difficult to get it in there. Maybe spray it on a small cloth first and then wipe the cloth on the seat rails. It comes out thin and then thickens within a minute. If you don't like this idea - Vaseline?

The rattle in my car comes from the seat back vibrating against the plastic backing (happens whenever you hit a big bump). All you have to do is move the seat up so it has clearance between the seatback and the plastic backing.

I had one of these a while back. See the following thread for what my problem was - there are pics & stuff for the fix. Maybe yours is the same:

All,

If you experience random vehicle handling at different speeds, then check under you car. I had some fluid leaking near the left rear axle. I ruptured a fluid filled shock mount as per the service technician?

The car would pull in one direction under acceleration and another while decelerating.

Fixed and all is wonderful. I thought is was tire pressure, also.
