Car got keyed for the first time
So, my car got keyed last night. The person keyed the car in the rear quarter panel and it's about 1.5ft in length. This is my first car and I've owned it since 2005 and plan to keep it forever. What are my options? Paint only the area the got keyed or should I paint the entire rear quarter panel?
Thanks
Thanks
The scratch isn't that deep but it still sucks. I'm going to order more products from detailers domain and once the weather gets warmer I going to detail the entire car. Hopefully the keyed area will be less noticeable. I really don't want to get the quarter repainted if it doesn't need it.
Thanks.

I used to worry that people would never macth a metallic paint but paint technology and color equalizing has really come a looong way.
I had the unthinkable happen (an idiot in his big wheel tall pick up) while in line to enter a parking lot did not see me and bumped me in the rear quarter panel
The panel was replaced in its entirty and the paint job is amazing, cannot tell it ever happened.
The moral of the story is don't worry, you will get it fixed right (if you are willing to spend $$$
).
Cheers and sorry this happened to you.

Similar thing happened to my accord. Painting it really didn't help since it was so deep. If it really bothers you, take it to a reputable body shop and get a professional opinion. Hope this is the first and last time this happens...
