Placebo effect.

F1 cars start with a full tank of gas and it has to last the length of the race, they don't pull in the pit halfway through to adjust suspension to compensate for decreasing amount of fuel in the tank.
They do it from the cabin
you are right, how can I forget those steering wheels

Think that they can do on-the-fly adjustments to just about anything on the cars ---- from the pit. Telemetry.

Yes, that can definitely impact the handling characteristics of the car. So does having a passenger or a trunk load of cargo.

Some people are more able to feel the differences than others.

When I go get my cars aligned, I arrive with half a tank of gas and I sit in the car while the alignment is being done. This way I'm never more than 40 pounds away from being in the configuration that the car is most likely to be driven.

genius.

If I do enough push ups, I'll burn calories and reduced body fat, increase muscle mass and gain weight. Won't that affect the car's handling?

But true, I can feel the difference when my car is emptied of loose items and the spare tire for track days. But I'm sure that the audio head unit, subwoofer, 8 speakers and an amp more than make up for that.
