They can leak oil by the seals. I top them off every few years. They have fill plugs (either a screw or a rubber cap).

I got a knock off one from Sears I believe, it works just fine and my S is pretty low now. Not sure of the brand, have had it for years now. From back in my Civic days

I used to worry about the front jack point until I realized you can easily lift an entire side of the car from the front-side jack point and place stands on the frame rails, then jack the other side. The S is so stiff that jacking the front-side jack point is no different than lifting from the center of the car in terms of height at the rear jack point.

I thought this thread was going to be about somebody stealing your car at a red light.

I highly recommend the Harbor Freight jack. It was my third jack and it works perfectly for my AP1. It's a tight fit in the front but it does fit and while you don't have room for much jacking motion on the handle, you have enough to raise the car. It's a bargain and there are a ton of coupons out there that reduce it to $59.99. I wish I had it back when I used pieces of wood and my other jacks. I use a hockey puck between the jack and the central car jacking points both in front and rear.

Except sometimes you want to swap wheels side to side (non-directional tires) or get to the exhaust in the rear....

You can jack up the entire car this way using 4 jack stands. Jack one side, place stands, jack the other side, place stands. The end result is no different than jacking from the front/rear except you need to use the frame rails instead of the side jack points for your stands, because a side point is "used up" by the jack.
