Default Car is unstable after lowering, Rims

I recently dropped my car using 1' front and rear Tein springs and also put on some 18 in racing hart C4's. Now it doesn t handle to well. It shakes left and right when I run over anything on the road and when it rains , even light rain U can forget about going out because it feels like I m sliding all over the place. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this problem. Thanks

did u put them in at the same time?
put your stock wheels back on and see if it is still shaky. this will let you know if it is anything in the suspension that you swapped.
if it drives fine with the stock wheels, then when you put your 18's on make sure you tighten the lugs in the proper sequence. do they come with hub rings, the shakiness could be due to them not being properly tightened. and if that don't work, i don't know what to tell you.

Dude, I'm NOT slammin ya here in any way shape or form.. BUT.

I don't really understand this....

You have a group of people somewhere in Japan that spent hundreds of hours of thought, computer time, R&D building, testing...

All guys who in most cases aren't idiots. They took the time to make a car for you with 240+ HP out of 2lt engine, 50/50 weight distribution. A car that thrilled you SO much at one time you laid out your hard earned cash for it...

You loved this car!

Now yourself... An avid reader of these fine forums and educated in your own right decide to add aftermarket parts of a nature that go to the very core of how and why this car was designed..

You added these parts because companys(who want to make a profit of course) say, "Yea, this fits an S2000".. They didn't do all the R&D etc that Honda did for you

But basically, for no other reason other than they probably look cool too..

You have poor results from these mods you've made....

This isn't a huge stretch here for me...

I've known alot of people that have made modifications to their cars over the years and have had really poor results from it. The cars don't have near the ability they used to have.. But they look cool. And try and get these guys to admit they've poooched the car with these mods after spending thousands of dollars on stupidity.

(Ending mini rant) So the point to this is.....

If it ain't broke, don't even think about trying to fix it.

Keep in mind I speak here of **CORE** modifications, not cup holders and radios.

I just don't get it, and I've "BEEN GETTING IT" for a hell of a long time.

No I installed the springs a week before I put on the Rims. I noticed the problem the first day I dropped it. I think that the problem is mostly due to the springs maybe.

Yeah, I see where u are coming from. I did do it because I wanted my car to stand out and look cool, but I didn't think that it would make that much of a difference just droppin it 1 inch. I knew that the car would never be the same after I added aftermarket products but I just didnt think that it would be this bad. I appreciate your info.

people in japan make these cars, people in japan who buy these cars have mod them much much more than we do!
our car can be modified to be better, harder suspension CIA, header and exhaust, etc.

But basically, for no other reason other than they probably look cool too..

if you had the problem when you installed the springs....

you should contact Xviper, explain your problem to him, he is very good at sorting out problems and should be able to help you out, hopfully with out spending and cash.

or you can

take your car to a good garage and get them to do the camber and alignment of all the wheels. (make sure you have your new wheels on when you do that), that should sort out your problem...

That's right - you don't get it

Why would you come into a thread where someone is asking for help and put that up? I'll say it again - you really don't get it.
