Default the car wash

i'm thinking seriously about getting a black/black s2000 and have a question
about car washes. my guess is automated car washes destroy black car finishes, yes/no?
also, does anyone take an s2000 through a car wash? is it bad for the top? does it leak?
obviously i've never owned a convertible before, and need some wisdom on the subject.
if i get a black one, and hand washing is the only option, i'll be washing it a lot more than
a different color, yes/no?

Go to the car care forum of this site for lots of great info. DO NOT go through a car wash with this car! In the car care forum you'll learn about what products to use for polish, wax, wash, dry, wheels, tires, interior, etc. It's important to take care of that black beauty.

agreed w/ohio...also if you look in your drivers manual for the s, it states very clearly...."no automated car washes", even if you take it to the coin wash, you need to be carefull of the pressure sprayer...

Frankly, using a carwash should be automatic grounds for the car to be taken away from the owner. Never ever use one. This car deserves better than that.

I don't use the automatic car wash, but have to use coin one because of watering ban. We're hoping for lots of snow so we don't go throught that next summer.

Once you purchase the S2000, you need to PAMPER the hell out of it.

If not, they will come in the night and take your car. You know the ones, the unspeakables!

Geez, that's lame!
