Default ---Carbon trunk. Too light in the rear?---

Will a carbon trunk make the s2k too tail happy? Didnt plan on getting one but there is a local selling for increadable cheap. Mine has some crack on it pretty bad on the trunk where the wing is molded. I believe its a VIS brand, so its not a $3k one that weights 1/2 lb

My only concern is will it cut too much weight from the rear and make it too tail happy and slide out more?

On my buddies evo, the stock trunk is crazy light, the carbon doesnt drop too much weight, at all. My s2k trunk feels pretty damn light as well. But some cars, getting a carbon trunk drops a good 20lbs if not more.

How much do you think your OEM trunk weighs? Do you really think taking of that minuscule amount of weight from the tail of your car would make it more tail happy? I would be more worried about removing the stock spoiler lol.

Toss a couple of brake rotors into the trunk. Now tell me if the handling has changed significantly.

probably almost everything you put on S is too miniscule to even affect any performance. It's purely for the look.

Take the spare tire out and see if that screws up your handling. Or have you ever carried stuff in the trunk? Even if the trunk saved 60 lbs it would not screw up your handling to the point where it would be noticeable on the street.
