---Carbon trunk. Too light in the rear?---
But that's not really why we're here. The trunk on the s2000 is quite light from the factory (as is the hood) and cheap CF parts to replace either of those parts can sometimes add weight instead of saving it.

Welcome to S2ki. We're a little tough on newbies here...

Not to be a "douche bag" but, I could care less if your cavalier could spank my s2000 in a straight line, or stomp my old del sol either. That's not the most important thing to many people on here.
If we wanted badass easy to do drag cars, we'd be a supra forum, most people here enjoy turning a lot more, and thats where the s2000 shines, I'm pretty certain it'd stop the ever living crap out of your cavalier, I'd put good money my old del sol would as well in the twisties.
Just saying that the people here for the most part have a different outlook on what's important than you might be used to, or not, I know nothing about you. Often most of us don't really respect the cavalier as a tuner car, you repeatedly defending it will be pretty useless and makes you look a bit like an e-thug (not that some of the other people didn't come off like that as well).

Nice upgrade in cars though.

I have my trunk gutted (carpet too) and a single exhaust. That was 92 pounds removed from the bottom/back of the car. The tail WAS hard to keep in place at times until I started removing weight from the front of the car and relocating the battery for the trunk when I put in my turbo. I put in a 30mm front anti-sway bar and it helped keep the rear end in check moreso, along with some 275 rear tires that I run now.
It's funny, before I installed my Bilstein suspension, I had around 150 pounds taken out of the car and the car was a good 3/4 inch HIGHER than stock!
Everyone at the local s2k atlanta meets made fun of me because they could fit their entire fist into my wheel well
if you want the CF trunk for style, it will do that, but it wont do much to affect weight or weight distribution. according to this thread, the OEM trunk is only 15lbs, so (assuming that's correct) removing the trunk entirely would only shift F/R weight distribution by about 0.1%. sorry the responses were rather harsh, but as you can see, it's pretty insignificant.
is your s more tail happy than you want it to be? you could replace the rear tires with 255s to get the AP2's OEM stagger (30mm) and calm the back end down a bit. also, you can do some searches about camber/alignment and sway bars if you want to really dial out the oversteer.
