Man, quit jackin' the guy's thread. It's a Carfax, not a kidney. I've requested a few and ave been lucky enough to have my requests granted.

same.. carfax is a rip off and only thing it's good for is checking number of owners.
this is what a dealer would say to get you to commit to their ridiculous scheme.
I always provide carfax report for the cars I sell, it's cheaper for me to keep a copy to print out to all inquiries rather than every potential buyer forking out $15 bucks.
Get the seller to provide you a recent carfax report.
you will lose the deal because you do not want to spend a few $ on a carfax account

The Honda dealer I went to last we showed me an AutoCheck report on an '04 S2000. Their reports also provides a score for the car.

When I was researching mine, I paid for an unlimited month and ran all of 4 VINs before I got my S.
I freely ran reports for people here and a few other forums while I had time remaining to help them out.
What else are you going to do with it?
