Default Carpet Question

my car has about 1,8xx miles the carpet on the hump thing on the pass side is showing wear on the edges of the hump it was showing wear since i picked the car up with 30 miles. i am wondering if this is a problem with anyone else? is it worth having honda rip out the old carpet and put new carpet in. also i read a lot about the muz mats i went to the link and it showes they are shipped from australia does anyone sell them in the US its a lot opf money for thats mats plus shipping? what is the heel mat they sell and why does everyone talk about these mats?

tahnx

Justan didn't the dealer give you floor mats with the car? They come free with the 02s.

Gotcha, I thought you were talking about the hump by the center console not the beam. Just tell people not to put their feet there. I have no wear and tear on mine.

You need to invest in some Muz mats, best thing I ever bought for my S2000.
He is a sponser on the board, his website is here excellent value for money!

I had that same problem with mine only on my side since I usually drive alone. I was putting my foot there while getting in/out. Once I realized the wear I stopped. The carpet is REALLY cheap and thrown together. Does anyone know of a complete molded replacement kit?

FWIW, all the used S2000s I've seen seem to be worn there as well, and it just seems like a natural place to collect dirt... (this is the horizontal frame hump just in front of the seats, not the center console...)
