I had a similiar problem a few months ago. I have a carport right now so I don't have a fully enclosed garage yet

The stupid cat loved to sleep on the hood of my BMW (daily car) in the winter after I'd come home because it was warm. One day after I waxed the car the cat had a hard time scrambling up the car and ended up scratching it.

Cats aren't stupid... I haven't seen that cat since I shot it with a Red Ryder BB gun. The same gun in "A Christmas Story" haha.

I've never seen a cat near my S... the one I shot must have spread the word.

i personally love cats, but i hate my neighbors two cats.

I find cat prints on my car every other day, and I have to park outside usually until I can sell my integra with its brand new paint job (which im not going to park outside since i need to keep it scratch free with the new paint).

A couple weeks ago I found a nice set of 4 parrellel (sp?) lines obviously from claws sliiiiiiiiiiiiding down my front fender. Oh you don't know how frikken mad I was, but there isnt much I can do about it because my neighbor's 7 year old keeps letting her "baby kitties" outside every day when she's running around playing. The mom from that house is an idiot and wont do shit, i guess I need to talk to her dad since he seems to be a car guy who will understand my predicament.
Does your neighbor know that their cat is scratching your car? If so, are they willing to take responsibility for it? If not, it's time to call the police.

You're letting your neighbors walk all over you. If they are irresponsible, make them accountable. Otherwise, the only consequence for their irresponsibility is your "dissatisfaction".

Personally, I could care less how my neighbor feels about me if they are willing to knowingly damage my property.

It's not a problem with the cats. It's a problem with your neighbor.
