Indeed. So now who is it that is dumb? That's right, it is none other than s2kmaniac!
The animal was frightened and simply seeking security, you dumbass!
What the hell is wrong with you people? He simply stated a story and he doesn't like cats - no need to go insulting him. Calling him a dumbass can be taken as a personal attack - against S2Ki rules.

Oh, get over yourself, Poindexter. ("Poindexter"?)
Now go to the beach and "ride" a few of those east coast ankle slappers.
BTW for you dog types, pound for pound, a cat will whip about any dog's butt. A dog's only advantage over a cat is size and brute strength. Cats are smarter and quicker thinking.
Nice Maine Coon there!
Here is a pic of my Classic Blue Tabby.
He is less than a year old here...

Have anybody else here had any kind of experience like that before?
Actually, yeah!
A couple years ago my GF called me in the morning sounding a bit upset. She said that on her way to work she thought she saw a tiny kitten stumbling across the three-lane section of highway toward the median. She mentioned going back and looking for it and I asked her not to stop as it was dangerous to be walking around the highway.
Anyway, she was upset and to ease her worry I mentioned that I leave for work as soon as I could and drive the route to see if I could see it.
So I head down that section of highway not expecting to see any animals, certainly not a tiny kitten. Traffic was very light and I got all the way over to the left lane as she said it was heading for the median. Sure enough, in the breakdown lane next to the median there's this tiny puff of black fur. Since traffic was light I was able to pull over in the median (certainly wouldn't want my GF doing this, thus making me a hypocrite, I know).
I ran back to the kitten and I reached down to pick it up. Just as I touched it, it ran out into the middle lane. A cluster of cars was approaching so I couldn't go after it. There was an 18-wheeler barreling down in the middle lane as well, so I felt sure the cat would be dead. After a deep breath and the cars pass, there it is, scared to death and crying in the middle of the road. I ran out and grabbed it and ran back to my car.
As I hadn't planned to find the cat, I didn't have anything to put it in, so I just placed it on the passenger floor and proceded to get off of the highway. About a mile down the road I took the next exit and pulled over to check the little guy out, but it was too late . . . HE HAD CRAWLED UP INTO MY DASH!!! All I could find was his little tail and hind legs by reaching up under the passenger dash.
Now late for work, I headed home. It took a couple hours of going back and forth between trying to pull the cat out (couldn't tell if he was stuck or holding on tight, but he'd practically scream when I tugged) and looking through the manual to see how much work it would be to take the dash apart.
In the end, he finally came out and I brought him inside. He appeared to be about 4 weeks old. At the time, we couldn't take care of him, so we found him a home. In hindsight, I shouldn't have been out on the highway. But in the end, this kitten was lost, disoriented, scared, hungary, and most likely about to get squashed. I'm happy I was able to pick him up that day, and a cat in the dash always makes for a good story.
