I noticed that the center console is large enough to hold CD's. Does anyone want to try making a slotted holder that fits in there to hold CD's in their jewel cases?

I think if you pack enough of them in there that they will stand up well on thier own. Unfortunatly that is one of the few spaces that I can get at to store stuff! So mine is fillied with other SH*T.

I'm with Pinky on this one. I just carry enough to basically fill it up. I've got one of those "grips" pens in there with the foamy stuff on the end where you grab it stuck in one side to firm things up and reduce vibration. So I pretty much rotate the 8 or so discs in there every once and awhile.

By center console I suspect you are talking about the area between the seat backs that requires yoga-like flexibility to reach and long straight streches of road so you can turn your eyes away for long periods of time.

That one?

I've been really hoping one of the clever devils on this board would have designed a slide out drawer or something that would fit under the passenger/or drivers seat, accessible from the drivers position.

I keep mine in a case under the drivers seat. You'd be amazed how much room there is.

I thought that is what that compartment is for already? My CDs fit fine and then I fill the "secret compartment" with the rest of them.

I've tried putting them in there, if you don't fill it completely, they flop back-and-forth.

I think a removable plastic sleeve that would slide into that compartment would be best. The sleeve would have to be ribbed inside to hold the CDs vertically. If you wanted to grab just 3 or 4 CDs when you left the house, you'd have a place to store them without hearing the jewel cases flopping around inside the center compartment.

I have one of those small case logic cases that fit about 10 or so cds without cases. This is small enough to fit in between the passenger seat and the center console. It's perfect and very easily accessible while driving. Much easier than the so-called globe box.
