I use a case that fits over the visor. The case has multiple slots for you to slide the CDs in. I think it holds 10 CDs. It is cheap and easily available.

Only downside is that there may be tiny scraths on the plastic on the CDs. But it does not affect any notable performance though.

Anyone think that if you could make the secret compartment accessible from the front (ie, the not so secret compartment) it would be a good idea?

in other words, you fold down the door to access the trunk button and there you would have a deep storage area, thus negating the need to open the secret compartment from the top?

If so, you could have more room to be creative about what you store... I havent explored it too much, but it shouldn't be that hard to do. With my windscreen and the top up, its a bit hard to get into the secret compartment... of course, a few more weeks and the top will be down lots longer, thus defeating this whole post of mine

I have been using a case logic cd case. Fits perfectly under the driver's seat. I do wish that there was a convenient place to put cds that are in jewel cases though...

Perhaps I have too many Cds in the car, under the front seat and the Yoga compartment is my choice, both are full.

I used these CD holder things that velcro around the sun visors (have to use them somehow). This is MUCH safer to cope with rather than bending down, trying to fumble around underneath a seat, upzip the case open, turn the pages to what you want to listen to, and pull out the CD.
I like the sunvisor approach because it doesn't involve me taking my eyes off the road to change CD's, if just for a half second. I can look up and see which CD I want to play, look back at the road, pull a CD out, hit eject, get the currently playing CD, put in the new CD, and put the old CD in the visor in under 5 seconds.

Either that, or get a CD changer

Baggs, I use a case very similar to what you describe. I also like keeping them in their jewel cases for protection. When I bought my CD case (approximate size 3 X 7 X 13) I removed the the inner sleeve assembly, leaving enough room for about 10 CDs in their jewel cases.

I hope this helps.

I do the same thing, I have a flat CD case that fits perfectly under both of the seats, depending on who's DJ'ing
