I am in the market for(actually have a deposit on one) for an 02 or 03
S2000, I like the idea of CPO but the prices I am seeing seem close to the price of
a new one.

For example Edmunds TMV for a CPO 02 with 24K is almost 27,000!!!
Most examples in that ramgle are from 22 to 26K.
Any idea what others have been paying for CPO's?

i would say 2000 more than a comparable dealer car. why? long warranty with full magnuson moss protections. That doesn't apply to hondacare!

I am in the process of purchasing a certified 2002 with 8K for $22,945. I have seen others also in this price range. The dealer is asking $1400 for 84 month / 100,000 Mi. extended waranty.

just sold a 01 CPO 2001 with 17k miles for $21k. That is below market value. a car under 20k miles should get 23-24, depending on color and condition. Higher mileage ones should be 21-22k. Again, this is going to be slightly below published "market" value, but that is what you should pay.

 

i got my 00 last year, 47k w/ extended 98k mile warranty for 19k

 

IS 25K way too much for a 02 with 24K miles? Its perfect

 

Has anyone purchased an extended warranty , If so for how much and did you ever use it.
