We are trying to identify why hecash's car isn't responding to the check valve like the other cars have. He and I spoke today to discuss methods for comparing our check valve with the electronic part he is designing and building himself.
We have been testing an electronic solution ourselves and cannot find any difference from our current valve. We just had a customer's car in here last week that we were doing the testing on. I did a blind comparison of the two setups and could not tell any difference. At this point, we feel the mechanical method we're currently using is comparable to the electronic method and are continuing to ship kits using that check valve. All the testing we've been doing has been on the dyno as well as using electronic testing equipment, that way it isn't subject to interpretation or seat of the pants feel. And we are looking forward to the testing results that hecash comes up with. Maybe they will be different from our result, maybe not. Time will tell. But at this time, I cannot comment as to whether it is appropriate to offer anything such as a restitution as you suggested. I guess if it came down to it and we had a kit that just wouldn't run correctly, we would take it back and refund the customer.
Luder, I stated that there haven't been any failures due to the supercharger. I know of two engine failures in cars that had superchargers on them. Both failures happened due to lack of oil in the crankcase. One of those guys said he hadn't even checked his oil in 10,000 miles and he was running track events. But no melted pistons, bent rods, blown head gaskets, or other type failures that could be attributed to the supercharger. We haven't even had the head off our S2000 yet, even with all the dyno runs it has been thru.

I e-mailed Mike today and asked him to put me on his list for one of the first boost upgrade kits... he said that my e-mail was the first he heard of this "kit".
Who started this rumor of a Comptech boost upgrade kit? If someone will be selling it, it won't be Comptech...

just a note on my problems...
I now think I have a bad air flow sensor. I called my honda dealer service dept and talked to a tech. They said the problem I described could very well be a bad air flow sensor. Said they have replaced that sensor on another S2000 from their dealership. I am taking the car in Thursday, so we'll see what happens.
