Default Wiring Diagram for the ECU...

I just received my 02 simulator. I decide not to go with the Casper's. The unit I picked up has a 5 wires coming out of it

I figured there would be the standard:
1-GND
2-12V
3-RPM IN (signal)

I also have two wires for :
4-TPS IN
5-02 sim out

I am trying to figure out which wires on the ECU harness are for RPM in and TPS out. From what Gernby posted, the signal wire is as follows, " I just cut wire 15 (white / red) on ECU connector #3 to connect the signal wire, and powered it with an ACC lead." I just need to figure out where the TPS in wire is. If someone has done this or has a picture of the harness or diagram I would be really thankful. Thanks again.

https://www.s2ki.com/imagecatalog/imageview/19125/

RPM=A19
+12V=B1
GND=B20
TPS=C27

Can someone confirm these are correct?

You should buy the Helm's manuals...

Asura,

I think you jinxed me. My CEL came on a few hours after you and I traded PMs. I reset my ECU, but it came right back on. I am going to pull the codes today to see if it is related to the O2 sensor.

I checked the wiring on my Casper's unit, and it appears to be fine, and the LED is blinking. I suspect that the simulator "went out", since it worked great for about 300 miles (5 days).

Sorry Gernby, it was not my intention to do so. The sim I am using incorporates a RISC processor instead of a 555 timer. Thank you all for verifying these for me.

Gernby, did the codes tell you anything different from what you expected?

I just posted this in another thread, but it applies here too.

I called Casper's Electronics this morning. Justin was not available, and the person I spoke with had disturbing news. He said that no O2 simulator will prevent a CEL. He said that the ECU will periodically produce a known lean condition, to test the O2 sensors. Since the simulator won't change its output, the ECU will always throw a code eventually. This makes me wonder why they even make the damn thing if it "can't work". He basically said that the simulator just extends the time it takes for the CEL to come on, if the conditions are just right.

He suggested resetting the CEL using an OBD-II scan tool, instead of resetting the ECU. He said that the ECU will always do the O2 sensor test soon after a reset, but will wait longer if the code is cleared via OBD-II.

The code was P0420 ("Catalytic System Efficiency Below Threshold"). This indicates to me that the ECU doesn't see a problem with the O2 sensors directly (Heater load, etc.), but the signal from the secondary sensor is not what it expects.
