I have to agree with everything above.

A couple additional things I've noticed:

1. I drive at least 4-5 car lengths behind the guy in front of me to avoid stone chips and water spray.

2. Usually, if a car is in the distance, it stays in the distance... Now, I find that I'm always catching up.

3. I feel an urge to measure a curb before pulling up to it. However, I find that I park at least a foot away.

4. Traffic around me tends to speed up, but only when they're behind me. If they are in front of me, they seem slow, and I can't help but notice how erratic their speed is.

5. I used to love to listen to music. Now, I find myself turning down the stereo just to listen to the engine.

I bought my car last May 19th. Since then;
I have taken an early retirement from my job (after almost 29 years service).
I got a dog.
I'm getting a digital camera (for the car as well as the dog).
I've gone over 100 mph more times than before the S2000.
I get stares and compliments on the car.
I get the questions about it.

I guess you could say my life has changed just a bit.

In the month I've had my S I've had two occasions where cars have done EVERYTHING possible (a Saleen Mustang and a tricked out Integra R) to find a way through traffic to get past me and stay there....

I teach high school, so the car stays parked at home because it wouldn't last a day in the school parking lot without getting keyed . Since it isn't my daily driver, I find myself looking for reasons to take it out. "Honey, need some chai tea mix from Starbucks?", "Gotta go for a little drive to warm up the engine because I want to check the oil", "Oops, forgot to pick-up espresso beans, gotta go back to Starbucks", etc... Sometimes I find myself sneaking out at night just to sit in it. I think I'm in love

Porsche951 Dario,
Uh yeah Porsche951 that may have topped it off.
I used to tell people I had to get a box of nails ... one at a time. Just to enjoy the driving of the car. ]

I don't have my S2K yet, but I have a Suzuka Blue on order -- due in late May, early June. The wait is excruciating. I have ordered/purchased quite a few cars in the past, but have never had so much anticipation about the arrival of a car. I find myself thinking about the car all the time. I've ordered (via the group buy) a starter kit of Zaino products. I've only ever applied wax to one of my previous cars and that was a one time thing. I plan to make the stook shine. I'm disappinted that I don't see more of them on the road, but at the same time I'm happy because I will have a beautiful and uncommon car. I'm shopping accessories on-line, spending time on this board, I've even bought a book about the S2K. Prior to this, cars were simply vehicles that I had to unfortunatly spend nearly an hour a day in. Now I'm looking forward to enjoying the ride to and from work. I also find myself worrying about the fact that I'm more likely to acquire speeding tickets.

I can't wait for the changes to come.
